Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre is the designated Nodal Agency of the State for the promotion of International Trade from Karnataka, registered under the Karnataka Societies Act. It is supervised and regulated by an autonomous body constituted by the Government of Karnataka. VTPC has been operational since 1965 under the aegis of the Department of Industries & Commerce. VTPC is named after the Chief architect of modern Karnataka, Bharat Ratna Late Sir M.Visvesvaraya, who was instrumental in the industrialization of the State.

VTPC has over the years evolved as a strong centre of excellence in global trade solutions for the promotion of international trade from the State. The Centre assists and facilitates stakeholders, addresses their grievances/issues in trade through its vast array of services and ongoing export oriented programmes. As a catalyst in propelling trade, VTPC continues to trail blaze in charting the blue print for formulation of the Export Promotion Policy, IPR Policy, promotion of SEZs & EOUs in the State, implementation of the ASIDE scheme and providing impetus to promising exporters from Karnataka.
