Government of Karnataka provides Market Development Assistance (MDA) to trade delegations for participating in International Trade fairs /B2B meets / undertaking Market research with a view to encourage small and medium enterprises and prospective exporters to acquaint themselves with international trade. The objective of the scheme is to provide initial impetus to the exporters by way of financial grant to develop business relations with overseas buyers/markets on long-term basis.

Revised MDA Guidelines

In the Karnataka State Industrial Policy (2014-2019), MDA guidelines have been revised and the delegates are eligible for the following financial assistance:

South American Countries

Assistance up to Rs. 1.75 lakh with the following component-wise cap:

75% of the economy Air Fare subject to a maximum limit of Rs. 1.00 lakh.
50% of stall rentals subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/-
50% of stall rentals subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- (for women & SC/ST entrepreneurs, 100% of stall rentals shall be reimbursed subject to maximum `50,000/-)
50% of freight charges subject to a maximum of Rs. 10,000/-.
DA of $ 100 per day for three working days.

Other Countries

Assistance up to Rs. 1.50 lakh with the following component wise cap:
75% of the economy Air Fare subject to a maximum limit of ` 75,000/-
50% of stall rentals subject to a maximum of `50,000/- (for women & SC/ST entrepreneurs 100% of stall rentals shall be reimbursed subject to maximum Rs. 50,000/-)
50% of freight charges subject to a maximum of Rs. 10,000/-.
DA of $ 100 per day for three working days
